I couldn't resist any longer and bought myself one piece of iPad. I made up lots of excuses from having my enormous picture-pool with me and on my drawing desk (wich is true) to being able to sync a mobile device with my desktop mac's calendars, mails and schedules (wich is partially true).
But - alas! - basically it's a fun-oriented gadget with a narrow range of real usefulness. It's fun, and I can perfectly live without it.
Until I found 'Procreate'.
It's something like a mini-painter-like program and turns the damn pad into a drawing tablet the size and weight of a sketchbook with all the benefits of undo, layers, transforming and painting without a crammed room full of colorstains. If that is something good after all.
If you have a pad, try it. There is no excuse not to. I sure will keep on doing it.
So far I don't dare to take it to a client and deliver my job fully digital, but maybe some day soon ...
